September Birthstones

September Birthstone Lore

Each month, I will offer a few select birthstone jewels. They may be loose birthstones, finished birthstone jewelry, traditional birthstones, or alternate birthstones. Some will be discounted. They will always be hand-selected or custom cut with birthday gifts in mind. Following are my September birthstone gift recommendations.

September Birthstone Lore

Today's Standard September Birthstone is Sapphire, which seems always to have represented this month. Remember that Sapphire is naturally available in every imaginagle color - and in multi-colored stones called parti colors.

A suggested Alternate Birthstone for September is lab-grown Sapphire.

September's Guardian Angel is Tsuriel. His Gem Talisman is Jacinth (Orange Zircon).

September's Special Apostle is Lebbeus Thaddeus. His Gemstone is Chrysoprase.

The Hindu tradigion suggests Zircon as a stone for September.

My Personal Suggested Alternatives for the September Birthstone are YAG and synthetic Spinel, - synthetics that are affordable and is available in sizes to support large, fancy-cut gems. These materials are quite durable.
